Trump’s visit to Manila is our chance to make one thing clear: he is not welcome here. From his crackdown on immigrants and critics in the US, to military interventions in Venezuela, Cuba, and the Caribbean, escalating tensions in Asia, the war of aggression in Iran, and his support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Trump has fueled violence, economic hardship, and threats to world peace.
Here in the Philippines, the Marcos government is helping the US turn our country into a frontline for its military strategy against China. The growing presence of US troops, military facilities, and weapons systems puts us closer to a war that is not ours to fight.
Now, there’s Pax Silica. Promoted as an economic security zone and backbone for the defense industry, the project in Tarlac threatens to displace thousands of Ayta people and farmers, consume vital water and energy resources, and cause environmental damage that could extend to mining communities across the country. Our land, resources, and people must not be sacrificed for foreign interests. We refuse to let the Philippines be dragged further into war while our communities bear the costs.
Trump may be coming to Manila, but he is not welcome.
Let’s defend our sovereignty, stand with communities fighting for their land and livelihoods, and demand a future decided by the Filipino people.
TRUMP OUT!
📢 Join the protest on November 16. For now, we flood social media. On that day, we flood the streets!
