Please remember Script Readers is a group of friends coming together to discover new plays. This is in no way, shape, or form a performance. There is no charge to participate and this is not open to the public. Only individuals who have completed this form for this particular date will be able to attend whether that is as a reader or a listener.
ABOUT SCRIPT READERS:
Directed by Ashleigh Rae-Lynn, Troupe CPT Script Readers is a script-reading group designed for theatre lovers who enjoy discovering and exploring new plays. Similar to a book club, the group selects a script each month and gathers to read the work aloud together, discussing themes, characters, and storytelling along the way. These readings are informal and are not staged performances or public events, creating a welcoming environment for participants to engage with theatrical literature simply for the joy of reading and learning.
Script Readers is not a standing ensemble with a designated roster of performers. Participation is open to anyone interested, and community members are encouraged to join readings whenever their schedule allows. Participants may also submit script suggestions for future readings, helping to shape the group's exploration of both classic and contemporary works. The troupe additionally provides an opportunity for local playwrights to hear their work read aloud, offering valuable insight into how their scripts resonate with performers and audiences.
