GET READY TAUPO! The Blue Light Trolley Derby is rolling back in, and it’s bigger, louder, and more epic than ever. This is your chance to grab your mates or whānau, get hands-on, and build a trolley from scratch. No experience needed, just creativity, teamwork, and the guts to send your creation flying down the hill.Whether you’re a rangatahi keen to test your engineering skills, a family looking for a fun challenge, or someone who just loves a bit of friendly competition, the Trolley Derby has something for everyone. It’s an all-ages, all-skill-levels community event where the real win is the buzz, the laughs, and the moment you push off at the top of the hill.
Every trolley tells a story and every dollar raised goes straight back into supporting Blue Light programmes that help Taupō youth thrive. When you enter, you’re not just racing. You’re backing the next generation, building confidence, connection, and opportunities for rangatahi across our community.
So gather your crew. Build something wild. Be brave. And come be part of one of Taupō’s most iconic, feel-good events.
