LOTS AND LOTS OF AMAZING CONNECTIONS BEING MADE! You can now officially say you met so and so from coming to the once a month meetings on a consistent basis. Because isn't that what networking is all about? Making lasting connections and building relationships? DRUM ROLL PLEASE... our GUEST SPEAKER WILL BE DAVID GEIGER!!
David Geiger is the owner of Spur IT Services, a Tampa Bay IT company that helps small businesses with everything from cybersecurity and Microsoft 365 to the age-old technical challenge of “I swear it was working yesterday.”
David has spent years working in IT and has recently become a heavy user of AI in both business and everyday life. He uses it for research, troubleshooting, writing, brainstorming, analyzing information, and occasionally going down rabbit holes that started with a perfectly reasonable question and somehow ended three hours later with the history of Nigerian Pidgin or radioactive medicine from the 1930s.
He is not an AI researcher, programmer, or machine-learning expert. He’s an IT professional and business owner who uses these tools every day and has learned where they’re incredibly useful, where they can get you into trouble, and why you should never assume an AI knows what it’s talking about just because it sounds confident.
For the next 30 minutes, David will attempt to explain AI without using the phrase “large language model” more than absolutely necessary.
BRING BUSINESS CARDS! Do you have any idea how many people come up to me after pass the mic and ask me for your number? LOL
