Trinity UMC will have a booth at the annual Savannah Pride festival on Saturday, October 24th, and we need volunteers!Marking its 27th year as the premier event for the Savannah LGBTQIA+ community and allies, Savannah Pride serves as a vital reminder of hope and unity, offering a platform for expression and connection. We will have a Trinity booth to share our mission - to create space for ALL people to find their place in Christ!
We need volunteers to set-up and breakdown the tent, and volunteers to work 2-hour shifts at the booth throughout the day.
Setup crew will transport items from the church to Forsyth Park (anticipating ~20 minute walk with beach wagons, given difficulties with parking near the festival), meeting at Trinity UMC beginning at 10 AM. The breakdown crew will begin disassembling the tent at 6 PM, to pack up and bring everything back to the church (estimated finish time - 7PM). Savannah Pride has indicated that the first 2 hours (from 12 noon until 2 PM) will be "quiet festival" designed for neuro-sensitive folks, so keep that in mind if it is of interest to you. At this time, please sign up for only one time slot - this will allow others who would like to help the chance to contribute! You're free to share this with your friends and family who might want to volunteer with you.
