Tweaked out on the exhilarating paranoia typical of the USA in the 00's, the notorious, polarizing acid-noise-prog-punk-post-hardcore outfit TRICLOPS! are reuniting for a one-night-only scorcher at Bottom of the Hill with support from mind-blowing local sonic freaks WIFE and GUMBY'S JUNK! From 2005-2010, TRICLOPS! combined distorted/effected vocals, oscillating bass lines, and jittery guitars to form a nervous, seasick swath over alternatingly throbbing and explosive drums; an asymmetric and unsettling response to a burning world and mostly boring late-aughts indie music scene.
During their brief lifespan, TRICLOPS! played over-the-top live shows all over the USA and Europe and released a rapid-fire blizzard of albums and EPs on labels like ALTERNATIVE TENTACLES (both full-length albums), GOLD STANDARD LABS (including the final release on that legendary label), SICK ROOM, and MISSING FINGER - the latter two of which co-released the acclaimed debut EP "Cafeteria Brutalia" in 2006, playing one of the record release shows at beloved Bottom of the Hill 20 years ago this Fall right around guitarist Christian Beaulieu's October 12th birthday, both events that the band is celebrating on this special night.
