About this Event

The TCIL Disability and Senior EXPO is hosted every year. We invite all the communtiy resource agencies to come together and provide information, resources, and updates to the disability and senior community. This will be our biggest one yet. So come out and enjoy some workshops, speak with some community resources, mingle with state and local officials and possible win an amazing raffle item, ie. chromebook, JBL noise canceling headphones, portable personal bluetooth JBL speaker, cozy book set, crafting, journaling, popcorn maker, and more.

Info: Peggy Martinez has worked in disability inclusion since 1996 in access technology, as a business owner, in higher education, and in non-profit management.

In 2015 she launched Creative Inclusion, responding to requests from designers and planners for her expertise in accessible technology, wayfinding, public transport, recreation, and entertainment.

Creative Inclusion combines existing legislation and best practices to develop accessibility solutions promoting safety, independence, enjoyment, and dignity; enhancing projects from concept through completion to meet client goals.

Info: The California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) is established by state and federal law as an independent state agency to ensure that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families receive the services and supports they need.

People with I/DD know best what supports and services they need to live independently and to actively participate in their communities. Through advocacy, capacity building and systemic change, SCDD works to achieve a person-centered and family-based system of individualized services, supports, and other assistance.
