The project of the legendary saxophonist Trevor Watts, who broke the barrier of sound back in 1965 with John Stevens, creating SME(Spontaneous Music Ensemble). Followed by Amalgam, and London Jazz Composers Orchestra with Barry Guy, Derek Bailey, Paul Lytton, Evan Parker, Tony Oxley and others. He then created Moire Music Drum Orchestra feat African Musicians and combining groove with free music, to empower his idea that all music must groove, even if it's spontaneously improvised. In this project he is joined on keys by his long time collaborator pianist Veryan Weston, another key figure in the improvised British scene, and the most underrated pianist of his generation. Their fisrt collaboration was on the Moire Music drum Orchestra in the early 80s.
The group is completed by Jamie Harris, also a long time collaborator of Watts, elevating the melodies and harmonies of Trevor and Veryan banging his congas. They have been touring as a duo with Trevor since 2003.
