About this Event
Welsh tenor and composer Gareth Treseder presents his new Welsh-language oratorio, Dioddefaint Sant Mathew [Tenor Solo/SATB Choir/Piano], whose text is taken from the 1588 Beibl William Morgan. This performance of Treseder's St Matthew Passion in Welsh has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales, who granted Gareth the Silver Jubilee Award for 2026.
Programme notes containing an English translation will be freely available.
The concert starts at 4pm and is expected to conclude by 5pm.
There will be no interval.
Tickets are available without charge, but do please consider making a donation to Swansea Minster.
While people of all ages are permitted to attend, the story of Christ's passion contains themes of suffering and grief that may not be suitable for younger children. Children must be supervised by their guardian(s) at all times.
