About this Event
For the past 20 years, our organization has served as a vibrant community hub connecting people around food issues, social justice, and Land stewardship. We stand on the shoulders of giants who laid this foundation, carrying forward their invaluable wisdom and the lessons learned through our shared successes, challenges, and failures.
Today, our organization operates as a living laboratory fostering experiential learning, deep community engagement, and creative experimentation. Every year our core staff, student gardeners, and invaluable volunteers come together to grow thousands of pounds of food for our partners across the Nogojiwanong community. Whether our produce is on your plate at the Seasoned Spoon, in your food box from the YWCA or YES youth shelter, it was cultivated through a care for the environment and a commitment to no cost food access.
Through this work, we invite critical conversations about our global food system, the value of local sustainability, and the role of small-scale agriculture. All the while fostering skills and a connection to the natural world that holds transformative potential.
We warmly invite you to celebrate this milestone with us for an evening of live music, a shared community meal, and inspiring guest speakers.
