About this Event
What you'll be doing
You'll spend the day planting trees as part of the second phase of this project to transform the site into a vibrant community-access woodland.
After planting 18,000 trees last winter, phase 2 will be planting 22,000 more trees to create a space that benefits people, wildlife, and the environment for generations to come.
The day will be led by our lovely Tree Officers, You don't need any previous experience or skills to join in. We'll take you through everything when you arrive and will be on hand to support you throughout the day.
Which ticket do I need?
We have two ticket types, so please pick the one that matches how you’ll be getting to site. Parking is limited, and this helps us fit in as many volunteers as possible.
- Car Parking Ticket - includes one parking space: This ticket includes one car parking space. If you’re coming with a friend or family member, please travel together in one car. It frees up parking for more volunteers on site (and means more trees planted!)
- Lift Sharing Ticket - I do not require a car space: This ticket is for volunteers who are car sharing or arriving without a car, as no parking space is included. If you’ll be driving, please book a Car Parking Ticket instead.
What to bring
We'll provide all the tools and equipment you'll need. Please bring:
- a packed lunch
- plenty of water
- warm clothes
- a waterproof
- sturdy footwear like boots or wellies
- clothes you don't mind getting muddy
Meeting point
Please do not refer to the Eventbrite map for directions - it will not take you to the correct meeting place.
We'll be meeting near the parking location.
