Waldron is a retired dendrophile (lover of trees!) with over 35 years of experience in industrial forestry, from working with sawmills to being a forestry consultant. Waldron will teach the foundational elements of tree identification and then we will use those skills to identify some trees at the park. If you have been wanting to learn a bit more about our local tree species beyond just evergreen or deciduous, this will be the workshop for you! This is a free program, and you will receive a copy of DCNR’s “Common Trees of Pennsylvania” booklet to take home with you.
