About this Event
Discover the stories buried beneath Herefordshire’s soil in this hands-on printmaking workshop inspired by the extraordinary Herefordshire Hoard. Participants will explore patterns, symbols, and imagery drawn from Anglo-Saxon and Viking art, using the Hoard’s exquisite metalwork as a springboard for creative expression.
Guided by an experienced printmaker, you’ll experiment with mark-making techniques, carve your own lino or foam blocks, and produce a series of unique prints that reinterpret the craftsmanship of early medieval Britain. Whether you’re fascinated by history, eager to try a new art form, or looking for a creative way to connect with local heritage, this workshop offers a welcoming space for all skill levels.
All materials provided. Just bring your curiosity—and be ready to unearth your artistic potential.
