Trauma Informed Care Summit - The Wisdom of Trauma
Can our deepest pain be a doorway to healing? The Wisdom of Trauma film is about a journey to the root of human pain and the source of healing. The film also discusses the connection between illness, addiction, trauma, and society. Join us for an enlightening and collaborative discussion and viewing of this renowned documentary by Dr. Gabor Maté. During this documentary, Dr. Mate explores why western society is experiencing an increase in mental heath diagnoses. This documentary is a journey with a man who has dedicated his life to understanding the connection between illness, addiction, trauma and society.
Lunch will be provided.
3 CEU's are pending by the CSWMFT board for completing both the viewing and lunch and learn. Partial CEU's are not provided.
Opportunity to Share
After the film, we are providing a 30 minute spot for anyone representing a trauma-informed organization to introduce themselves, their organization, and describe resources they have brought with them. There will be a resource table available to display these flyers for people to pick up at the end of day after our discussion and evaluation.
