Commemorate the lives lost this year due to anti-trans violence at the Q-Center in Astoria, Queens.About this Event
Commemorate those we have lost over the last year to transphobic violence with our Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) Vigil. This year we will hold our vigil and march on Thursday, November 19th, the day before Transgender Day of Remembrance. After reading the names of those we lost, we will do a short march around Astoria to raise awareness in the community about transphobic violence, but also the strength in number of those still here supporting this community. Then, we will add to our new Affirmations Arboretum with our positive intents for the community in the coming year. This is an all-ages event.
