About this Event

Invitation to the Launch of The NUS-Lancet PRIME Commission Report Transforming Pandemic Readiness for Equity”

On behalf of The NUS-Lancet Pandemic Readiness through Institutions, Mobilising Communities, and Equity (PRIME) Commission, we have the honour of inviting you to the official launch of the Commission’s report, “Transforming Pandemic Readiness for Equity.”

The event will take place as a side event during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week.

The event will:

  • Present the Commission’s findings and recommendations publicly for the first time.
  • Promote a broader approach to pandemic readiness that goes beyond technical preparedness, with a focus on equity, whole-of-society action, and protecting communities.
  • Feature high-level roundtable discussions on how PRIME frames pandemic readiness and how PRIME’s recommendations can inform the High-Level Meeting as well as political, institutional, health-system, regional and global action.
  • Bring together senior global leaders, Ministers, representatives of the United Nations and international organisations, academics, civil society, philanthropic organisations, and selected media.

The Commission report will also be published in The Lancet coinciding with the Commission launch.
