This interactive workshop introduces school choirs of all ages and types to gender‑affirming vocal pedagogy in an accessible, age‑appropriate format. Led by internationally recognized vocalist and choral educator Dr. Cee Adamson (she/they), the session explores healthy vocal techniques, inclusive language practices, and approaches to singing that support all gender identities. Choirs will participate in guided exercises, demonstrations, and open discussion in a safe and welcoming environment.Sign Up - https://www.mbchoralassociation.ca/events
University students, conductors, or educators who are unable to bring their choir are welcome to audit the session. This provides an opportunity to observe Dr. Adamson’s teaching, gain practical tools for inclusive vocal practice, and bring gender‑affirming approaches back to your own classrooms, rehearsals, studios, or future teaching.
This session is part of Rainbow Harmony Project’s Trans Voices Forward initiative, expanding access to affirming vocal education across Manitoba.
