Come together to experience the remarkable story of Matt Hadley — an athlete and trail builder whose life changed in an instant, and a community that rallied around him as he found a way forward.
A former elite mountain biker and professional trails technologist, Matt was living his dream in Canmore, Alberta — building and exploring trails and thriving in the outdoors. But while hiking in Utah, a freak accident led to a devastating injury and the loss of his leg, threatening not only his career but the outdoor life he had built around it.
How do you rebuild a life when everything you love suddenly feels out of reach?
Supported by his community, Matt begins a demanding journey of recovery and reinvention, relearning how to work, play and move through the mountains he calls home.
Set against the spectacular Canadian Rockies, TRAILBLAZING is an intimate story of resilience, innovation and community. It also shines a light on the barriers that remain in our outdoor environments — and the people working to redefine what accessibility and belonging can look like.
