About this Event
Join me at the beautiful Hi Cacti coffee shop for two hours of Turkish marbling (Ebru). If you’ve already decided you’re “not artistic”, you’re welcome too.
We’ll start with a little history, then get creative with colours and patterns on water. I’ll show you how the materials are prepared and guide you through using floating paints and traditional tools to create designs you’ll transfer onto paper.
There’ll be plenty of time to experiment, try different techniques and see what happens. The paint sometimes has its own ideas, which is part of the fun.
You’ll head home with your own collection of marbled papers and, hopefully, a favourite you didn’t see coming.
Come on your own or bring friends or family. No experience needed, and I’ll provide all the materials.
Wear something you don’t mind getting a little paint on.
