About this Event
Track Notes: Kanye West : The College Dropout
Class is officially in session.
For this edition of Track Notes, we’re going back to 2004 and sitting with Kanye West’s debut album, The College Dropout, an album that challenged what success was supposed to look like.
We’ll listen, vibe, and dissect the music while talking about education, Black ambition, consumerism, faith, family, work, insecurity, and betting on yourself when the traditional path doesn’t fit.
This isn’t a lecture and you don’t need to be a Kanye expert. Just come ready to listen, talk, debate a little, and revisit an album that sounds a whole lot different when you’re grown.
Track Notes is part listening party, part group conversation, part “WAIT…run that back.”
🎧 Featured Album: The College Dropout
🎓 Released: 2004
📚 Theme: Dreams. Degrees. Faith. Family. And defining success for yourself.
Come for the music. Stay for the conversation.
