On Saturday, December 12th, 2026 Hard Knox Games will be presenting "Move to Contact 8", a 32 point Team Yankee Tournament. The discussion page for this event will include pictures of the missions and free "Artillery Support Barrage".In conjunction with "Move to Contact" HKG will be participating in the annual Battle Rankings and Battlefront sponsored USMC Toys for Tots toy drive. The entry for this event will be a toy of $20 or more value that will be donated to the local charity toy drive.
The tournament will consist of four 32 point games, each with a 70 minute period of play on a 48"x48" table. We have 5 missions available, and we will randomly determine which mission at the beginning of each round. The missions have been custom created for quick, small, intense games. We highly recommend that prospective players review the missions listed in the discussion for this event and give them a thorough reading and playtesting so they will be best prepared for the tournament. This will be an open tournament, and will NOT be using a red vs blue format.
Each player should create a 32 point, LEGAL, formation from any of the available WW3 Team Yankee books or official online lists. The formation must include all black box units. Each player should create a 32 point dynamic, LEGAL, formation from any of the available Team Yankee books. The formation must include all black box units. As part of their formation players may not choose any aircraft, if a unit would normally be allocated Helicopter Transports the unit can be used without the helicopters with no further discount.
Where the Move To Contact Missions mention Deep Reserves we will be using MOBILE RESERVES. MOBILE RESERVES require that players may not have more than one infantry unit on the table during deployment, all other infantry must be in reserve. This is basically flipping the requirement from additional Vehicle Platoons being left in Reserve to additional Infantry Platoon being left in reserves.
Each player list will also get a free Observer unit from their formation and a free ARTILLERY SUPPORT BARRAGE unit, neither of which will count against your reserves. The Observer will be one of your standard observers for your nation, and you will need to supply that team for your use.
Also note that in a 32 point force the maximum number of points that will start on the board is 19 points (60% of the available total). Since this is a small game we will not use the "ignore the 1st destroyed platoon" for victory points rule. All battles will be played with daytime rules.
Players should submit their lists for approval no later than 10am Wednesday, December the 9th. Lists can be submitted to [email protected]
Any players who would like to are encouraged to bring terrain for a 48"x48" medium density table to help create an enjoyable variety of tables.
Please let us know if you intend to bring a table to help us ensure we have enough laid out for participants.
