About this Event
Step aboard at Brooke Street Pier and cruise along Sullivan’s Cove, taking in Hobart’s historic docks, wharves and piers while enjoying an up-close view of many of the beautiful wooden boats visiting for the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. From there, the tour heads north along the River Derwent, past the bustling Macquarie Wharves, beneath the Tasman Bridge and on to the Selfs Point Fuel Terminal before returning to the pier.
More than just a scenic river cruise, Tour with TasPorts offers a fascinating insight into Tasmania’s working waterfront. Along the way, our host will share stories about the impressive tall ships and wooden vessels featured in the festival, while providing a glimpse into how a modern port operates, how maritime safety is maintained, and how we are planning for the future.
