About this Event
Join Julie from Stones + Glass Designs to learn the basics of embroidery while beginning the beautiful Meditative Florals spring-inspired design.
During our time together, we’ll cover the stitches used in this piece, design elements, and finishing techniques. Embroidery is meant to be relaxing and meditative, so there’s no need to rush. We’ll complete a comically small portion of the design during the workshop, but you’ll leave with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to finish your piece at home, along with access to step-by-step video tutorials.
While this workshop is designed with beginners in mind, all skill levels are welcome to join for the creativity, connection, and shared learning.
Your registration includes:
- 3 hours of in-person instruction
- The complete Meditative Florals Embroidery Kit, including all supplies needed to finish the project (5 skeins of embroidery floss, 1 skein metallic accent floss, floss bobbins, a 6" bamboo hoop, pre-printed fabric pattern, 3 embroidery needles (two size 24 and one size 22 for metallic thread), needle threader, balloon needle grip, detailed printed instructions, and a project bag)
- Online video tutorials for every stitch and element in the design
- Access to Julie’s Beginner’s Guide to Embroidery PDF
Your instructor, Julie Schappert, is an artist, teacher, and wellness advocate. She believes creativity is meant to be shared and loves helping people realize that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. When she isn’t at markets sharing her goods or teaching, she enjoys her time at home with her family in White City, SK, likely dreaming up the next thing to make.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn from this amazing teacher.
