Soulful, sophisticated, and deeply expressive, Toni Byrd brings her warm voice and elegant phrasing to The Velvet Note for an evening of music that feels wonderfully personal. A Memphis native based in Atlanta, this accomplished singer, songwriter, and actress draws from jazz, gospel, R&B, and pop, with influences including Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, and Roberta Flack. Her artistry extends to the screen, where she portrayed Ida Belle in the film Lawless. With heartfelt storytelling and an inviting stage presence, Byrd creates the kind of intimate musical experience that makes The Velvet Note a place where the rest of the world can wait.
