AI may be digital, but the infrastructure powering it is physical. Data centers across Virginia are consuming land, electricity, water, and capital. They also bring jobs and tax revenue, and they raise real questions for the communities asked to host them.Join Senator Creigh Deeds and Delegate Katrina Callsen for a Tomorrow Talk on what infrastructure Virginia’s future requires and how to build it in a way that respects those communities. Senator Deeds chairs the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee and has carried legislation tying the industry’s state tax incentives to stronger energy-efficiency and clean-energy standards. Delegate Callsen represents Charlottesville and part of Albemarle County, serves on the House Finance Committee, and has taken part in the General Assembly’s debate over data center siting and community impacts. Kate Byrne, founder of Women Advancing, joins them.
Part of the lead-up to the 15th Annual Tom Tom Festival (April 21-25, 2027), themed NEXTGEN.
