Toddler Storytime introduces children to books with simple language and predictable plots. This program familiarizes toddlers with the concept of storytime manners and helps them practice these new skills. Toddler Storytime is most appropriate for children aged 18 months to 3 years. Toddler Storytime is about 25 minutes long. Tickets are not required for this event.
Storytime Guidelines
Prepare your child for storytime by explaining how to be a good audience member (i.e. sitting or standing still, listening to the storyteller, speaking quietly, and being kind to others).
If your child becomes restless or upset during storytime, please step out of the room for a break, then quietly return when your child is ready.
Small children may stand instead of sit, but should not run or climb during storytime.
Keep casual conversations to a minimum, and place cell phones on silent mode.
Strollers are not allowed in the program room. Baby carriers/car seats are acceptable.
To avoid distracting other children, please refrain from bringing toys or food to storytime. Comfort items (i.e. blankie or small stuffed animal) are permitted.
If any individual requires an accommodation to participate in the library events, programs, or classes, please contact the host library location. Please contact the host location at least 3 days before the program/event.
