Often associated with the DADGAD tuning that helped define his sound, Bensusan blends influences from folk traditions, jazz, classical music, and global musical cultures into richly textured solo performances. A winner of the Independent Music Award for Best Live Album and recognized by Guitar Player magazine readers as Best World Music Guitarist, he has inspired generations of musicians, including Michael Hedges, Tommy Emmanuel, and Steve Vai.
