Raise a glass to the dead.
Join Certified Whisky Specialist Jill Hunt and Red Seal Chef Michael Ubbing at Diabla Cantina for an evening inspired by Samhain (SOW-in), the ancient Irish festival marking the passage from harvest into winter.
Around the table, we’ll explore the customs and beliefs that gathered around this turning of the year: fires against the darkness, omens of what lay ahead, and the enduring place of the dead among the living. Jill will share traditions from different regions of Ireland, with a few ghost stories finding their way between the pours.
Four whiskeys will guide the tasting, each accompanied by a small bite created by Michael to bring the flavours of the glass and the season together. Autumn produce, ingredients from the garden and Irish inspiration will carry us through the pairings before we settle in for dinner and an included cocktail.

Our craft cocktail menu, beer and wine selection will be available to order throughout the evening, with additional drinks purchased separately.
When dinner is finished, linger a little longer. Once the room opens to other guests, invite your friends to join us. There is time for another glass, another story, and the company of those still gathered around the table.
