Approx 5 miles, setting out along the Tissington Trail with open views across the surrounding countryside from an elevated position. Visiting Tissington Village centre, points of interest include Tissington Hall, the duck pond, multiple wells, and chocolate box cottages. The route rejoins the trail to conclude. Manageable challenges for novice combinations include exposure to cycles and walkers, possibly light traffic, and bridge crossings. This is a walk and trot only route with surfaced going throughout. The trail is multi-user and it is likely walkers with dogs or buggies, cyclists and off road mobility scooters may be encountered.
The route includes bridge crossings with some elevation, and changes of surface.
The trail is hardcore surfaced and may be stony in places.
Traffic may be encountered on the short section through the village.
Livestock may be present alongside the route. This includes alpacas within the village.
Group sizes are limited to 6+ guide. All riders must have their own Public Liability Insurance to cover themselves and their horses. Under 18s are welcome but on their first visit, must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Places are £42 and can be booked using the 'find tickets' button.
