What if Saturday morning felt like an adventure?
Tiny Huemans is a nature-based outdoor learning experience for children ages 3–5 and their caregivers. Together, we slow down, follow curiosity, and discover the natural world through movement, play, exploration, and hands-on learning.
Each week we gather at Sligo Creek Park in Silver Spring, MD for a small-group outdoor experience designed to help children build confidence, connection, and wonder—while giving caregivers a front-row seat to their growth.
Small Lives This week's adventure invites children to discover the tiny creatures living all around us. We'll search for insects, observe them up close with magnifying glasses, learn what makes an insect an insect, and create our own nature bugs using treasures collected along the trail. Closing Reflection Circle Every session is child-led, caregiver-supported, and rooted in the belief that young children learn best through movement, sensory experiences, exploration, and play. Limited to 10 explorers ? $40 per family What to Bring Closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, a snack, and a willingness to get a little muddy.
