Wet Plate Portraits at Highwic
Have your portrait made using the photographic process of the 1850s, in the beautiful Victorian setting of Highwic.
Each 5 x 4 inch portrait is made by hand on glass or aluminium using wet plate collodion — no digital camera, no negatives and no retouching. Your finished plate is varnished with traditional gum sandarac and you’ll also receive a digital copy.
Limited sessions available this December. Bookings essential.
