About this Event
ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
This symposium brings together three papers in development exploring ethics, interdisciplinarity and play in urban research. Each paper will be presented by its authors, followed by a live response from invited discussants who have reviewed the papers in advance. These critical conversations will open into wider audience discussions, creating an opportunity to engage directly with the work and contribute to shaping the papers ahead of their revision and submission to academic journals.
The format of this symposium event offers an insight into the academic peer review process, bringing critical conversations into an open and collaborative setting. As a LUDeC initiative, it foregrounds dialogue, reflection and collaborative knowledge production.
Researchers, doctoral students, practitioners and anyone interested in urban studies, interdisciplinary approaches and creative research are welcome.

ABOUT LUDeC:
The Leverhulme unit for the design of cities of the future (LUDeC) is a transdisciplinary doctoral programme. It encourages its scholars to reach out across disciplines, for artists to work with sociologists, historians to work with designers and literary scholars to work with geographers. It embraces urban design as a co-creative process. The programme encourages cross-disciplinary conversations, projects, and creative methods centred on rethinking the contemporary city.
