Ever come across an old gadget, tool or machine and thought, "They don't make them like that anymore"?At Waiōrea Community Recycling Centre, we see all sorts of interesting things come through our doors. Some are beautifully made, some are a mystery, and others just need a little know-how to get them working again. That's what inspired Time Machine, a new gathering for people who love old things and the stories, skills and knowledge behind them.
We're inviting collectors, tinkerers, repairers, restorers, retired tradespeople, vintage enthusiasts and anyone who's simply curious! Bring along an interesting old object, share a story or a bit of knowledge, or just come for a cuppa and a chat. We'll have a few rescued treasures of our own to show you too.
It's not a formal workshop. This first gathering is all about meeting people, swapping ideas and seeing what Time Machine could become.
