Set in 1799, Sleepy Hollow is based on Washington Irving's classic folktale "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Master storyteller Tim Burton weaves an eerie, enchanting version of this classic. Johnny Depp is Ichabod Crane, an eccentric investigator sent to the town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people; apparently committed by the legendary apparition The Headless Horseman. Christina Ricci also stars as Katrina Van Tassel, the beautiful and mysterious girl with secret ties to the supernatural terror. (USA, UK, Germany, 1999, 105 mins, R, English | Dir. Tim Burton)
