Clifford Odets’ anti-Nazi play was banned in Australia in 1936. To get around the ban, the artist-activists of the New Theatre performed the play on the back of a truck.90 years later, veteran Fringe artists Katie Sfetkidis and Mark Wilson present the play with a cast of thousands* (not quite) on the back of a truck in the car park at Trades Hall.
The play is a terrifying, human depiction of the cost and necessity of fighting against fascism. This will be an event to remember.
