Tile Tuesday at Truth Be Told? Say no more.Moody Peach Mahjong Club is setting up at Truth Be Told on Canton Street for three Tuesday evenings of American Mahjong. Grab a cocktail, order a bite — you won't want to miss trying out all of their brand new menu items.
What's included:
- Two hours of Mahjong play
- Tiles, racks, and 2026 NMJL cards provided if you need to borrow one
- Instruction for Guided Play players
- Giveaways
All levels are welcome, but we are not offering lessons this night, so please come with some knowledge of the game! You'll enter your experience level at check-out and will be sat with those at or around your level. Plus, we're offering two different ticket types:
Open Play is for players who know the card and rules and want to come for a warm seat, the game, and people to play it with.
Guided Play is for beginners of the game (who already know how to play). We'll look over your shoulder and give you tips during play so you can learn to strategize and feel comfortable playing independently.
First time? Pick up a Moody Peach Mahjong Club membership punch card on your way in — and start collecting.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Every seat at our events matters, which is why all ticket purchases are non-refundable. Open play is built around full tables, and when a seat goes empty without notice, it changes the game for everyone else at the table.
If something comes up and you can't make an event you've registered for, let us know at least 24 hours beforehand. That gives us time to offer your seat to someone on the waitlist. We know life happens; we just need that heads up to try to fill your seat for someone else.
A note on tables
American mahjong plays best with four, and we do everything we can to keep every table full — including a waitlist to fill last-minute gaps. That said, attendance shifts, and once in a while a table will play with two or three. It's still a good time, and it's part of open play.
Photography Heads-up: we photograph and film our events for social media and marketing. By joining us, you're okay with appearing in those photos and videos. If you'd rather not be featured, just let us know when you arrive — we're always happy to keep you out of frame.
