About this Event
TIFF in Fort Erie Presents: "Burd" and "Echoes Of The Ancestors"
Join us for a free and exciting in-person screening event at the Greater Fort Erie Secondary School in the Meridian Centre for the Arts auditorium on November 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM (Eastern Time).
Learn about the incredible legacy of our late, beloved neighbor, Burd, a long time Fort Erie resident and WWII veteran, who became Canada's oldest man until his death at 110 years old. Then travel through time to explore the deep roots of our town in Echoes of the Ancestors, a documentary focusing on the Indigenous history and sacred burial sites found in Fort Erie. Following each screening, we invite you to participate in a brief Q&A session with the films' creators.
Important: Admission is free, but RSVP is required to secure your spot. Don’t miss out on this special event!
Please Note: we will be accepting donations of non- perishable food or cash for the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre Food Pantry.
