🐈 📖 Tartu Illustratsioonifestivali ja Gutenbergi jutumeetri sarja raames tulevad raamatupood Biblioteeki külla kauaoodatud külalised! Lastekirjanik Liis Sein ja illustraator Laura Verte tutvustavad lastele ja noortele mõeldud elulugude sarja „Väike algus, suur lugu“, kus on ilmunud raamatud „Lennart Meri. President“, „Leelo Tungal. Lastekirjanik“ ja „Olav Ehala. Helilooja“.Sarja igas raamatus jutustab üks Eesti kultuuriloos oluline inimene oma loo justkui ise. Lisaks eluloole leiab raamatutest ülevaate loomingust, sõnaseletusi, käsikirjalisi tsitaate, loovülesandeid, fotodest inspireeritud joonistusi ja koomikseid. Sari kannab endas mõtet, et igast lapsest võib saada keegi, kes loob midagi olulist – olgu selleks president, kirjanik, tippsportlane, helilooja või hoopis midagi muud.
Kohtumisel räägivad Liis ja Laura lähemalt raamatute sünnist ning kutsuvad lapsi kaasa mõtlema ja looma teemal „Kelleks unistan saada?“ – koos meisterdame ja joonistame oma tulevikuunistusi.
Oodatud on kõik suured ja väikesed unistajad ja raamatusõbrad!

Liis Sein töötab Eesti Lastekirjanduse Keskuses juhiabina ning kirjutab vabal ajal lasteraamatuid, näidendeid ja stsenaariume. Lisaks juhendab ta laste loovkirjutamise ringi, innustades lapsi rohkem lugema ja kirjutama.
Laura Verte on vabakutseline kunstnik ja illustraator, kelle loomingus kohtuvad värvid, jooned ja tegelased, et jutustada lugusid nii suurtele kui väikestele. Ta usub, et loomine aitab meil säilitada mängulisust, uudishimu ja oskust märgata maailma imesid.

✨ TIF 26 – Gutenbergi Story Meter: Liis Sein and Laura Verte
Children’s book author Liis Sein and illustrator Laura Verte will introduce their biography series “A Small Beginning, A Big Story” for children and young readers. The series includes the books “Lennart Meri. President”, “Leelo Tungal. Children’s Author” and “Olav Ehala. Composer”.
Each book in the series tells the story of an important figure in Estonian cultural history as if narrated by the protagonist themselves. In addition to the biography, the books include an overview of their creative work, explanations of words and concepts, handwritten quotes, creative tasks, illustrations inspired by photographs, and comics. The series carries the idea that every child can grow into someone who creates something meaningful — whether that means becoming a president, writer, top athlete, composer, or something entirely different.
During the event, Liis and Laura will share more about how the books are created and invite children to imagine and create around the theme “What do I dream of becoming?” Together, we will craft and draw our dreams for the future.

🧙 About the authors:
Liis Sein works as an directors assistant at the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and writes children’s books, plays and screenplays in her free time. She also leads a creative writing group for children, encouraging them to read and write more.
Laura Verte is a freelance artist and illustrator whose work brings together colours, lines and characters to tell stories for both children and adults. She believes that creating helps us stay playful, curious, and able to notice the wonders of the world around us.
