Tide Together hopes to provide a relaxed and mindful space on the beach, and together, create a piece / pieces of beach art from whatever we find.
We’re proud to welcome back James Mead of Wildselkie.co.uk - a Sheppey-based practitioner of transformative sound baths, guided meditation, and crystal healing sessions – who will deliver a meditation and sound bath to settle and relax us into the environment (𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 / 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝).
This precedes the collective creation of beach art guided by local artist Laurie Harpum, and recorded photographically by local photographer James Buttenshaw.
At the end of our session any works that have included man-made items (most abundantly plastics) will be dismantled, and the items disposed of leaving only natural works to linger for the sea.
We’ll also bring equipment to undertake a litter-pick of the wider area afterwards, giving something back and caring for our beach.
