The event brings together Greg & Ashley Garrison of The Hop and Tou & Chue Lee of Lee’s One Fortune Farm to share the stories behind each course, from growing ingredients on the farm to incorporating them into handcrafted ice cream. Guests will learn how the farm’s seasonal harvests inspire new flavors and how collaboration between local farms and food businesses creates memorable ways to experience the region’s agricultural bounty.
Each $50 ticket includes five tasting courses served as kiddie scoops, with the Garrisons and Lees sharing the inspiration, growing process, and collaboration behind each offering. Guests will also take home one pint of their choice from The Hop’s display freezer. Additional pints, ice cream cakes, and novelties will be available for purchase during the event.
Two tasting sessions are planned, with 37 tickets available for each session, offering guests an intimate opportunity to learn, taste, and connect with the people behind the food.
This event is supported by a Relationships for Resilience Grant awarded by ASAP, made possible through the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. The grant supports marketing efforts that help local food businesses tell the stories of their relationships with farmers and strengthen connections throughout the regional food system.
