A singing bowl meditation is for anyone who wants to feel calm and relaxed and is a good introduction for those new to the art of meditation.
Gentle continuous tones encourage relaxation and may contribute to lower levels of stress hormones and help alleviate tension and restore a sense of calm and focus the mind, in a world full of distractions.
Wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and a blanket and relax into a feeling of wonderful wellbeing.
Many people find that they sleep really well after just one session!
Led by Sue Martin – an artist and cultural practitioner who has been practising Buddhism for around 10 years using Singing Bowl Meditation as a complementary relaxation technique in her art workshops in Wiltshire and within the Criminal Justice System in the UK.
Benefits
Tibetan Singing Bowl Meditation is widely regarded for its therapeutic potential in contemporary wellness practices. Regular engagement with this form of meditation has been shown to reduce everyday stress and anxiety and can be a profound sense of relaxation. The vibrations emitted by the singing bowl are both calming and restorative, and it is believed that they assist the body in realigning itself, thereby promoting overall wellbeing. This simple practice can transform the mind, creating a peaceful environment conducive to relaxation and inner balance. Many individuals incorporate singing bowls into their evening routines to quiet the mind and prepare for restful sleep.
