For Jaime and Janiece: Joni Mitchell at JuniperThursday Music Night
November 12, 2026, 6-7:30pm
After the Joni set, Sarah will be joined by Rick Maxwell and Tadas Pagel.
Musician’s Statement: "Ever since Janiece Jaffee’s Joni Mitchell project with Monica Herzig, I realized how important Joni ‘s music was to me too. Janiece had a way of removing obstacles that were in the way of dreams. This was my dream too."
Joni Mitchell created unique tunings for each of her songs. It’s rare to hear her songs covered, let alone in their original tunings. I’ve leaned on Janice’s power of inspiration to bring these songs forward. I have unlocked a few and felt the call to honor Janiece on the stage named after her with the music of Joni Mitchell.
A few weeks ago DW Brukowski and I shared the stage at Juniper, and the evening was so special because of the rare opportunity to be listened to so attentively. Thank you Jaime. This one’s for you too.” -Sarah Flint
