About this Event
In this workshop, students will learn how to manipulate, layer, attach, and embellish various fabrics using special glue, Cappie will provide, turning fabric remnants and yardage into finished textile panels, wall art, or quilted pillow. No prior experience is necessary.
You will discover the expressive, painterly technique of raw-edge fabric appliqué. Students will design, cut, layer, and fuse fabric shapes to create a vibrant, expressive self-portrait.
Students will walk away with a finished "Self Portrait and they can choose to leave their piece as a flat textile panel or sandwich it with batting and backing to transform their artwork into a layered, quilted wall hanging.
Suitable for all skill levels.
