Join us for the return of Glad Radio's monthly acoustic session, now on the second Sunday afternoon of the month. From 3:30pm to 6:00pm on Sunday 8th November, we'll have sets by Midnight Painters and Willem McKee & Marina Rolink.
We've invited back Midnight Painters, who weren't able to play at our August event. They're a duo formed by the musicians Aoibhinn Sweeney and Anthony Madden, who are getting recognition for their unique songwriting and their evocative, harmonious performances. Check out their debut EP Volume One.
Willem McKie & Marina Rolink are another new duo worthy of our attention. Willem is part of the multi-talented group The Black Denims, and Marina is a third of the trio Alma. But when they're together, as their debut single 'I Am The Night' attests, we can expect some sweet music!
This is a family-friendly afternoon show. There's no licence for alcoholic drinks, but soft drinks and snacks will be on sale.
The Deep End is an arts space and social enterprise developed by Govanhill Baths Community Trust, where Glad Radio, a community podcasting charity, has its studio.
