Throwing Muses released their new album ‘Moonlight Concessions’ in 2025 via Fire Records. The album follows their acclaimed ‘Sun Racket’ from 2020, a heady set filled with tough and tender tales spiked with surreal imagery. ‘Moonlight Concessions’ goes back to basics, a return for Throwing Muses to their esoteric off-kilter best courtesy of Kristin Hersh’s pin-sharp sketches and their suitably abrasive musical arrangements, a collection of snippets from everyday life writ large - think Raymond Carver Short Cuts, overheard conversations, recounted happenings and telling one-liners, all sewed together to illustrate the times as they slowly mature, fully peppered with original Muses’ vim and vigour. Following a string of packed shows across Europe in Spring and Summer 2025, These shows are Throwing Muses' first U.S. appearances in over a decade.
With nearly 40 years of Muses-history behind her, Kristin Hersh continues to be one of the most compelling voices in American rock — a fiercely original songwriter and a magnetic live performer.

Artsick is an indie pop band from Oakland and Seaside, California, formed in 2018 by Riley Riley (guitar and vocals) and Mario Hernandez (drums, bass, tambourine). Their songs capture the urgency of life and the complex emotions that come from it with a mix of jangly clarity and distorted restless energy. Artsick crafts tunes that are as new-sounding as they are timeless, full of melodic twists and sharp, honest lyrics.
Riley and Mario formed an easy friendship while playing shows together in the past in their respective bands, Mario (Kids On A Crime Spree) and Riley’s now defunct band Burnt Palms. Their friendship turned into a well-oiled, yet still exciting collaboration, which landed them on Slumberland Records with a debut LP in 2022. Artsick just finished recording a batch of new songs in Mario’s all-analog studio and are very excited to share them in the near future.
