Thomas Ashby weaves folk, blues and jazz into a sound that is both intimate and cinematic. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Jamie Cullum, he combines tender songwriting with rich, organic arrangements, creating records that reveal new details with every listen.Previous releases have earned national airplay on BBC Radio 2 and Radio X, alongside praise from artists including Pixie Lott and Kele Okereke. His acclaimed album Better culminated in a sold-out headline show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters.
That journey continues with Through Your Eyes, Ashby’s most ambitious album to date. Recorded live in the room with his band at Big Jelly Studio without a click track, the album captures the chemistry and spontaneity of live performance, later expanded with carefully crafted vocals and textures. The result is organic, expansive, and deeply human.
Joined on stage by drummer Maeve Thorpe and bassist El Rain, Ashby brings that same spirit of spontaneity to every performance — moving from moments of quiet reflection to soaring musical interplay.
