Through the Eyes of a Child:An exhibition of artwork created by children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
On Friday 27th November, EdShift invites you to Through the Eyes of a Child at Dean Clough, Halifax.
Over the past few months, children and young people have taken part in a series of four special HeARTs & Crafts workshops, exploring creativity through different artists, materials and ways of making.
Now, the artwork created throughout those workshops will come together for one special exhibition.
Through the Eyes of a Child will give visitors an opportunity to experience the creativity and perspectives of children and young people affected by domestic abuse creating a space for their voices to be seen and heard through art.
The exhibition takes place during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an international campaign calling for action to end violence against women and girls.
For EdShift, it is also an opportunity to draw attention to children: victims of domestic abuse in their own right, whose experiences can too often remain unseen.
At EdShift, creativity is at the heart of our work. Art can offer children another way to explore emotions, communicate experiences and express things that may be difficult to put into words.
We would love you to join us in celebrating what our young artists have created.
