Through a Soldier’s Eyes is a rare opportunity to experience the Afghanistan war from the viewpoint of someone who was actually there.Every piece of footage shown was captured by my own body-armour camera during Operation Moshtarak in 2010. Nothing comes from television, YouTube or online sources. Much of the material is currently being archived by the Imperial War Museum.
You’ll see the living conditions, the people, the casualties, the poppy fields and firefights with the Taliban, all recorded on the ground as events unfolded.
It is about as close as you can get to experiencing the battlefield without being there yourself.
Tickets are free, with a donation required to secure your place. Every penny donated goes to Frodsham & Helsby Rotary Club.
