About this Event
Thriving with ADHD is an 8-week, psychologist-led group program for adults who want to better understand their ADHD and develop practical strategies that work with their brain—not against it. The program takes a neurodiversity-affirming, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based approach, helping participants build psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and sustainable habits for everyday life.
Whether you've recently been diagnosed, have lived with ADHD for years, or are exploring a diagnosis, this supportive small group provides a safe space to learn, connect with others, and develop skills to navigate common challenges such as procrastination, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, self-criticism, and difficulty following through.
Across eight weekly sessions, you'll learn how to:
- Better understand how your ADHD brain works
- Respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and emotions
- Reduce the impact of self-critical thinking
- Strengthen focus and present-moment awareness
- Develop greater self-compassion
- Clarify what matters most to you
- Build ADHD-friendly routines and lasting habits
- Create a personalised toolkit to support long-term wellbeing and growth
This program is ideal for adults who are ready to move beyond simply coping with ADHD and begin building a life that aligns with their strengths, values, and goals. Participation in group discussions is encouraged but never required, and no previous therapy experience is necessary. Before joining, you'll have a brief suitability conversation to ensure the group is the right fit for you.
