About the book:
Thirteen years ago, Rebecca was convicted of murdering her daughter during a devastating episode of postpartum psychosis. Now, she’s finally being released from the psychiatric hospital and returning to the small Texas town she once called home.
But Rebecca has a secret.
She is convinced her daughter is still alive. No one will believe her without proof -- not the town, not her ex-husband, not her younger daughter who has spent her whole life thinking her mom killed her big sister.
As Rebecca desperately digs through fractured memories and long-buried family secrets in search of what really happened that night, she begins to question what she actually remembers -- and what she doesn't. Then another child vanishes and all eyes are on Rebecca.
Is her mother’s intuition correct or is she the monster everyone thinks she is?
